The Black Dog are pleased to announce the formation of a new company in Sheffield,
Machinewerks. The company will be designing, manufacturing and building Control Surfaces,
Mixers and Synthesisers.
After 30 years in the studio and the last 10 years on the road we feel we are ideally positioned to know what an artist and DJ needs from their equipment. With this in mind we've set about building our first product, the Machinewerks: CS X51.
"We've never been able to find a Control Surface for our needs, so we decided to design and build the products that we wanted and needed. It seemed like the only option available to us. We also wanted to bring something back to Sheffield by designing, manufacturing and building as much as we could here in the UK and SoYoTM"
Martin Dust - The Black Dog
The CS X51 is beautifully sculpted from two pieces of aluminum. It fits your hand like a glove and puts you in full control of the mix. Whether it’s playing live, mixing down or DJing the CS X51 is built to handle them all with ease. The design is pure and with purpose. We haven’t set out to try and please everyone like other companies have done in the past. We designed the unit with working artists/DJs in mind and tested it in the field to ensure complete control over the music and performance.
The CS X51 is the first of 4 products currently in development at Machinewerks.
